hmad|architects developed proposals with the Anglican Diocese of Exeter in conjunction with an affordable housing project to create a new multi-purpose church and community building to replace St Paul's Church and a derelict vicarage.

 

The design needed to balance the intention to provide an open and welcoming place with the pragmatic need for the building to be safe, secure and robust. The facilities include a hall seating 120 suitable for worship and performance, a cafe seating 40 with a professional training kitchen, a multi-use community hall, a dedicated office for a youth worker and meeting rooms.
