hmad|architects were approach by the clients to design proposals for this Dartmoor based family home in Devon to be sensitively reordered, so that it is most importantly in keeping with it's architectural heritage, but also to provide the clients with a new, more welcoming front entrance including an outside seating area. The clients requested for the rear of the property and garden to become more private and finally to improve the internal layout of the home to overcome the currently 'convoluted' circulation.

We worked with the Dartmoor National Park authority, known for its understandably strict planning conditions, to successfully gain planning permission for this project to proceed, creating a family home with longevity in mind. Verbal feedback from the Planners concluded that the design proposals detailed a 'significant improvement' to the current building.
