hmad|architects were appointed to develop the design and obtain planning consent for a new monastery connected to a Grade II listed Church of the Resurrection. Our innovative design uses the 'Mandorla' plan form, an ancient symbol of protection long associated with Christianity.

 

There are twenty-six Brothers' bedrooms arranged over two storeys, each offering a unique view over the landscaped wooded valley. The bedrooms are arranged radially around a central atrium, which forms a double height circulation space housing the library.
