The Church of the Resurrection, Mirfield

hmad architects remodelled and refurbished a multi-level Grade II listed monastic church to create a beautiful and contemporary sacred vessel for liturgical purposes.

The great renown of The Community of the Resurrection meant that the proposals were particularly sensitive. The Faculty Approval involved extensive consultations and negotiations, including our participation at a Consistory Court hearing.

The project included new heating, lighting and electrical systems, the adaptation of interior space to provide a more accessible worship space as well as the redecoration and installation of new feature fittings, fixtures and artwork to compliment monastic worship.
